In a press conference last June 15, 2017, Atty. Raul Nadela Jr., City Mayor’s Office Chief of Staff, stated that security will be on heightened alert for the upcoming Kadayawan celebration. He further added that they will not compromise the essence of the said festivities. “We promise that people will still enjoy the Kadayawan Festival” Nadela concluded.

Security measures were imposed in the city just before the President declared. City Mayor Sara “Inday Sara” Duterte was quick to respond to the commotion happening in Marawi and announced a “lockdown” of the city. With this kind of security, your safety is guaranteed when the Kadayawan Festival celebration  starts.
